Today we did our Surface Safari. We each brought a car from home and then tested it on different surfaces to see which one made our car roll best. First we got our test logs ready.......
The first surface we decided to test was the carpet in our classroom. Davis thought his truck did pretty well.
Next, we tested our vehicles on the tile floors in the hallway. Sadie Grace said her car did GREAT!
The next stop was outside on the sidewalk. Virginia thought her car did a good job.
Our next surface was the grass. We all decided that the grass was not a good surface. Maddie wanted to test the grass going both uphill and downhill. Downhill was easier, but not by much.

Then we visited our friends in Junior K so we could borrow their sandbox for a dry sand test. Tyler's monster truck did okay, but everyone else had trouble with their cars' wheels sinking in the sand.

After that we headed back to our room to do a wet sand test with our Moon Sand. Anna Kate tested her car while Emalyn watched. She thought it was a little better than the dry sand, but some of it got in the wheel wells of her car.
