Here is "Alvin", our Elf on the Shelf, on top of our calendar board. He magically appeared on Monday straight from the North Pole. Alvin watches over the children during the day and reports to Santa and Hanukah Harry at night. When he comes back he's always in a new location around the room. Hope fully our elf friend will motivate us to be on our best behavior! A Peek at This Week
We've had a wonderful week learning all about reindeer! We've made reindeer, read reindeer books, and painted peppermints. We've been working on improving our handwriting this week and continue to write in our journals daily. In Math, we started our chapter on measurement.
Looking Ahead
Our unit of study next week will be gingerbread and Hanukah. We will continue to do lots of writing and keep working on Chapter 9 in Math, "Measurement". We will begin rehearsing our play on the stage.

Please let me know if you have any questions about Christmas play costumes or speaking parts. Thanks for your help! Remember, there is no school tomorrow as all the teachers will be away for an MAIS conference. Have a great weekend and I hope to see you tonight at Chick-Fil-A!
