What a wonderful week in Sr. K! The children worked very hard to get ready for the program on Friday. Thank you to everyone who came! The children made eyeglasses cases and painted portraits of their grandparents that took three days to complete. We also worked on the letters Hh and Dd and the sounds they make. In Math we worked on making groups of more and fewer. Try to use the word fewer in day-to-day activities if possible.
Next week our unit will be Community Helpers. Several parents have signed up to come speak to the children about their jobs but we still have lots of times available. The invitation is also open to grandparents. We will also begin participating in Junior K's "Pennies for Pets" drive. Please send in your loose pennies. All proceeds will be donated to an animal rescue center.
Our Cooking Show for next week will be a "Bob the Builder" sandwich. We will need bread, cream cheese, jelly, and graham crackers.
Thanks to everyone for all the books we were given this week. Also thank for all the items and work that went into the reception. The food looked delicious! Also, thanks to JJ for coming to read If You Give a Pig a Pancake and for bringing us delicious pancakes on Thursday in celebration of Davis's Star Student weeks.
