A Peek at This Week
What a busy, busy week! We are deep in the beginning of the "Booo, Gobble, Ho Ho Ho" season. In Language we worked on the letters Ll and Uu and the words if, run, & jump. In Math we started chapter 6, "Shapes and Parts of Shapes". Thanks so much to everyone who came with us on the field trip on Tuesday. The children really enjoyed it.
Looking Ahead
Our Unit for this week is Halloween and we will focus on the letters Vv and Nn and the words not, no, & yes. In Math we will finish up our chapter on Shapes. Remember this is Red Ribbon Week. Monday wear something red. Tuesday wear a hat. Wednesday wear a team shirt. Thursday wear boots. Friday wear the OUS Fall t-shirt or any Halloween shirt with khaki or denim bottoms. The carnival is Friday afternoon so we will not have a Cooking Show.
Thank You!
Thanks to Jacob's family for cookies and storytime for Jacob's Star Student weeks. Also, thanks to everyone for attending Parent-Teacher conferences on Friday. We had 100% attendance!
Turkeys
Remember that the children will need to wear a brown outfit for our school-wide Thanksgiving play, "The Turkeys Go on Strike". We will make a turkey hat in class to go with it and I have saved enough picket signs from years past so you will not need to make one. (But if you would like to make one, just let me know.)
