A Peek At Last Week
The children had so much fun "Cruisin' the Continents" these last few weeks. They were so excited to share with you all the things they made in their travel backpacks. Thanks so much to everyone who helped make our very first "Around the World Tasting Party" a success. In Reading, we read the story I Went Walking and worked on the word families -ap and -at. In Math we've been adding up a storm!
Looking Ahead
This week our unit is Valentine's Day. We will read the story Big Pig, Little Pig and work on comparing the families -id, -ad, -it, -at, and continue sharpening our addition skills. Our Valentine's Party will be on Friday, very similar to our 100 Day party where the children will have to complete 3 activities in each room. If you'd like to come and help with the party, we would love to have you. It will begin at 8:45 and run until 10:00. We will need some brightly colored yarn for Friday. Pink, orange, purple, or any other bright and/or variegated colors of yarn would be greatly appreciated. We also still need some chaperones for our Healthworks Field Trip (in Tupelo) on Thursday, February 25, 2010. Thanks!
