Last week we started my favorite unit, "Cruisin' the Continents" where we take an imaginary trip around the world. We had a great time learning all sorts of information about the Americas, Antarctica, and Europe. Our planned itinerary for this week is:
Monday: Asia
Tuesday: Asia
Wednesday: Australia and Oceania
Thursday: Africa
Friday: review
If you have visited any of these places and would like to come and share pictures of your trip with the children, we would love to have you! We are also looking forward to our "Around the World" tasting party on Friday at 1:30pm. Remember, this takes the place of our regular cooking show. Your child should be able to talk about his/her dish and tell what country it comes from and why the people might eat it. Below is a reminder list of which continent your child was assigned: (if you need help think of an idea, please let us know if we can help)
